Gabriel was still pissed off that Raven punched him and Raven wasn't talking. Gabriel didn't see Raven, unless he left the house and then the Indari would tail him around. This greatly annoyed Gabriel, so much that he had tried to corner Raven a few times and was met with the floor. Gabriel was sitting at the table, wondering how Nine was doing.
When the door opened and Voltaire came in, covered in snow. Winter had hit the city, causing the boys stay cooped up in the house. Voltaire dusted the snow off him and saw Gabriel "Ah you are in the kitchen.... why?" he ask. Gabriel stared at him "Do I need a reason?"
Voltaire shrugged "No, just figure you be in your room or in the study."
Gabriel rose a brow "Honestly, I'm getting stir crazy." Voltaire nods "Well the storm letting up and in a few hours should be fine to travel around town."
Gabriel nod a little, though Voltaire moved around the table "Hmmm." causing Gabriel to give him an odd look. "What?" he ask.
Voltaire look around the room "Can feel the tension. What did you do?"
Gabriel growled "Why do you assume I did something?"
Voltaire shrugs "I know you, I know your mouth." he smiled.
Gabriel just got annoyed "He punched me, honestly this isn't working out."
Voltaire just stared at him "Its so funny you think you have a choice here. Your mother put him to protect you. Despite this body, she wanted to make sure you had extra protection." he told him "Learn to get along, you don't have to like each other, but I prefer you two not to kill each other. Well Raven tends to be a good little soldier, but even he has limits."
Gabriel just hissed, but Voltaire continues "Look, I know Ravens not easy to be around, neither are you. Perhaps just try, like the way you try for Nine. Also don't give me he's my brother bullshit, lets face it Nine is unbearable at times and I know you agree. However we care and so we put up with it. Raven agreed, despite the conflict between you two, to guard you. Knowing how you are, he still chose. He could have easily declined or taken your father side. Believe it or not, he does believe in you. He's just... rough about it."
Gabriel was silent and just listen as Voltaire spoke "Just....try." Gabriel would then say "What about him... he should try too." Voltaire would nod slowly "Yes, but how can he when you won't?"
Voltaire then looks about and says "I came to see how things are, check in on you." Gabriel ask "How's Nine?" Voltaire stared at him "I am not with Nine nor am I near him. I meant it when I said I was pulling back from your family. This is a favor to Lilith and you. That's it."
Gabriel furrow his brows as Voltaire then looks down the other hall "I will assume Raven doing well, so I can report back to your mother. However Gabriel... try." he say and left.
Few more days had past and Raven still stayed out of sight, for the most part he did follow Gabriel out of the house, sept for this last time. Gabriel had left to the book store, in hopes of giving a peace offering to Raven, if they were stuck together, he could do as Voltaire said and try to make the best of it. He made it home, with that feeling of being followed, he assume maybe it was Raven. Though he was slightly paranoid, walking in the house.
He shut the door and locks it, moving to put the book on the table and brush off the bits of snow that happen to cling to his coat. Moving to his room to put it up, as he did, he heard a noise. He thought it was Raven, so he moved to the kitchen. Though to his surprise it wasn't Raven at all, it was Zantro. "How did you get in?" he ask with a hiss.
Zantro was looking at the book "I pick the lock, so this where you staying? Its a nice place, though I am trying to figure out why... well why someone like you has a guard. You don't dress noble like and I doubt he's a lover. " he snickers. Gabriel reach to grab the bard and slam him in the wall. "Now now... remember last time." The blue devil spoke, only to hit into Gabriel with that horrible rush of lust. Gabriel stumble back feeling the overwhelming sensation, dropping to one knee.
"Get out!" he hiss, but Zantro move to him "Yeah see I am told to find out who you are sooo, not gonna happen." He reach to stroke the vampires cheek. "You know I do love Vampires, easy to manipulate. I also know not to make eye contact. Tsk." smirking.
Gabriel jerk his face away, being the empath he was and feeling Zantro keep over powering this feeling, he squirmed around "Stop it." Zantro walked around "So who are you? You know me, but I just can't place you and I sure would remember a cutie like you, with your two tone eyes." moving behind Gabriel now as he would run his hand up the Vampires neck "You have something about you. Something that reminds me of someone, but I can't place it." waited for Gabriel to go to speak, then shoved his fingers into the Vampires mouth. That familiar taste of the paste hitting his tongue, he hated it, made all his senses go haywire and gave him a drugged effect, like he couldn't control himself.
He really was worried, the bard some how got a upper hand like always, he was sly and shady like that. Only atleast he wasn't alone, Raven happen to come home and see the scene. "Oh having a party and you didn't invite me?" He moved fast and snatched the Tielfing off. Zantro try to hit him with the feelings. Raven was a empath too, only he train his lust to be more for bloodshed. So this backfired on Zantro, Raven gripped his throat and had a vice grip, as he slammed him onto the table. Zantro tried to use his tail, but Raven quickly grabbed it and held it away. He kept that tight grip as the bard flailed under him, until slowly he stop moving.
Raven released the bard who laid lifeless like on the table. Gabriel saw as he squirmed still "Did...did you kill him?" Raven look to him "No. Need answers, he obviously knows more then he says." He look Gabriel over "You ok? What he do to you?" as he go to help the Vampire up and it didn't take Raven long to figure out the problem. "Lets get you to your room." moving to help Gabriel there, he shove the Vampire to the bed "Strip." he state. Gabriel looked bewilder at him "Excuse me?" Raven just commanded again "Strip or I will cut off your cloths when I return." he shut the door and left.
Ten minutes had pass and Gabriel wasn't any better, the drugs were well into him. Raven return and open the door some "You stripped?" He ask, Gabriel still abit worried and hesitantly answered "Yes." Raven then shoved the door open "He's all yours ladies, do as you please. I doubt he protest." as a swarm of beautiful giggling women come running to the bed. Raven shut the door to leave Gabriel alone.
Later on in the day after the ladies had left, Gabriel emerges out. He was exhausted for sure, but felt better and even fed. "Um...thanks." He say to Raven, who was reading the book Gabriel got. "Mhmm." he say. "I made sure to they were your type and I mean that in blood too. I know you can't just have any blood." Gabriel seem baffled "Wh..how...like..." Raven looks at him "I am a royal guard. I told you its my job to know. I pride myself in being a royal guard. I said I take care of you and I meant it, despite our hate I don't let my feelings get in the way of my job." Gabriel nod to him some "Well...I haven't been the best.." Raven cuts him off "Don't...don't do the whole having a moment thing. I know Voltaire came by a few days ago and I am sure his pompous ass had few holy words."
Gabriel snorts a little "He's not so bad." Raven still stared at him "Yes well, don't do the meaningful talk. " Gabriel nod some and says " fine..what you do with Zantro." Raven glances to a door "I have him tied up in the basement, Figure I'd get to him when he wears himself down. Or let you with your mind trick." Gabriel arch a brow "oh really you will let me?" Raven deadpans "Don't make it weird."
